My Bio

I was born and raised in Barcelona by a Spanish father and a French mother. I developed a strong interest in languages from a very young age as I learnt three languages as a child; Spanish, French, and Catalan at school. My mother who is a French teacher inspired me with her passion for teaching to further my studies to become a language teacher.

I am a patient and encouraging teacher.

I obtained a Certificate of Teaching Languages to Adults at Goldsmiths University in London and completed a teaching placement at the Instituto Cervantes in London.

I combine language teaching with my other passion, music. I regularly perform at events with a Swing and Latin Jazz band called Camino Sonoro.

I began tutoring privately in 2013 and enhanced my knowledge of the Spanish and French GCSE and A-levels exam board requirements and methodology.

I have taught a number of Spanish and French GCSE and A-level students who have subsequently successfully achieved top grades in their language exams.

I am currently preparing several students for AQA, Edexcel, IGCSE Cambridge boards and teach Spanish A-level lessons at Southover Partnership, a leading special needs school in London.

Music biography:

I am a freelance guitarist from Barcelona. I have been living in the UK for 12 years and playing guitar for 20 years. I completed my studies at Leeds College of Music, Middlesex University (BA in Jazz Performance) and Flamenco Courses with noted Flamenco masters Miguel Salado and Diego del Morao.

I perform as a soloist, and with a number of bands at public and private events in the U.K. Some recent performances include events at The Dorchester, Trafalgar Hilton Hotel, Moor Park Golf Club, Chiswick House, Porcelanosa, Cambridge University, a World Music Festival in Milton Keynes, NH Kensington Hotel, Charlotte Street Hotel, One Angel Court and White City House (Soho House), Soho Farmhouse private members club, and Bush Hall.

I perform a variety of styles of music and particularly enjoy performing Latin Music, Bossanova, Flamenco and Jazz.

I also perform as a guitarist accompanying singers in care homes and hospitals in and outside London. We perform for a variety of public Care Homes including a military care home, general care homes and Christmas events. Our performances have contributed to the wellbeing of the patients and we cater our repertoire specially for the elderly and those living with Dementia and Alzheimers.

I am also a resident guitarist for the CW+ Charity (the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust including its hospitals and clinics) and have been performing for the Charity since February 2019.
